6. Flying Into The Ocean
There you were, standing on the edge of a cliff, with
oceans and oceans as far as you can see. You feel free, you feel your heart
racing because you have something to loose - something that is yours and yours
alone. You can hear the waves hit the rocks beneath and see the birds soaring
into the wide blue sky, hoping to fly into this ocean one last time; and yet
you are afraid - you fear losing control of something that is yours and yours
alone.
The deciding moment between giving up and taking the reins
again is of such a moment which hones your personality. But how long could we
last? All these heckle of perceptions towards a better tomorrow, a more soothing
life as they say, amidst this anarchical agenda! How long before something or
someone take the reins away from us? How long before we respire only in the
Dark Sunshine, only this time, eternally?
From learning to take a decision to finding out the
way to maturity, perceptions can be deceptive; but so could be reality. When
you are standing on the edge of the cliff listening to the oceans roar, you'll
soon realize that to find out the right decision you'd have to take the
wrong ones first. That's how you progress - cancelling out the impossibilities,
the mistakes, just to find the right answer. But when we talk about progress,
should we consider the consequences of the wrong decisions? That's a story to
be told later.
Fear is as abrupt as it is volatile. For many it could
surface in a situation as simple as falling in love again. When you have
already been in pseudo-reality of a perception called love, it is initially
hard to drench your senses again into the same bubble; that too, willingly.
Finally, it was the time for you to take a deep breath and close your
eyes to take your leap into the ocean. It was the only way for you to
know whether you will drown or swim through; all that was left for you to do
was flying into that ocean and leaving the rest up to your fortuity. After all, the only steps we fear to
take are the ones whose outcomes are predetermined by our minds. There are
phases in one's life that they can relate to. When you finally feel those
crippling emotions again, you start cringing. It was finally adrift; you
were feeling again. Not that you needed to; but it was all not in your control.
For once, you were feeling something that were yours and yours alone .
